Kustom Defender Series

Introducing a 50-watt, all-tube guitar amp that reclaims the sound that sparked a revolution: The DefenderTM from Kustom. Tapping into the very essence of classic tube amplifiers, The Defender gives players the essential ingredients for smokin' tones, all the way down to its 1960s-era Pine cabinet.

To launch the project, Kustom engineers first developed an exclusive new preamp circuit called Duo-ModTM that utilizes traditional Volume and Master Volume controls, but that's where the similarity ends. Here's how it works: When turning the Volume control down to get cleaner tones, the Duo-ModTM circuit progressively reduces gain in multiple locations throughout the preamp. The result is stunning clarity throughout the control's entire range. In medium-to-high gain ranges, Duo-ModTM progressively adds gain in multiple locations throughout the preamp to produce smoking hot rock tones with punch and clarity that set it apart from the competition.

Kustom Contender Series

The Kustom Contender™ is a boutique-styled, 18-watt tone machine that borrows some special features from its big brother, Kustom’s versatile all-valve 50-watt Defender guitar combo. Utilising a high-voltage 12AX7 valve preamp design, the Contender harks back to the small valve guitar amps of yesteryear; choc-full of sweet tone and snarling attitude...

The Contender is housed in a 60’s-era pine cabinet, a key ingredient in its lively tone. Controls provided are Volume, Bass, Treble and Master, as well as Bright and Master Volume Bypass switches. With the Master engaged, it’s easy to get chunky overdriven tones that ring with clarity. With the Master Bypass switch engaged, the amp is pure old-school, eliminating the Master Volume circuit entirely – cool.

Speaker duties are handled with authority by an 8 inch Eminence™ speaker.

Special details include an exclusive stitched-pattern covering, an oversize cushy leather handle, tone-enhancing plywood baffle, jewel light and vintage-style power switch.

From shimmering clean tones with sparkling harmonics to total distortion rock-outs full of crunching chords and fluid lead lines, the Kustom KGA100DFX offers all this – and more. The Kustom combo’s impressive specification includes twin 12” Celestion speakers, a choice of UK or USA-voiced distortions with individual 3-band EQ for each channel, a boost facility on the lead channel, 24-bit DSP onboard effects processing, CD/Tape input, and XLR balanced output.
